New Year's Resolutions
The first month of 2012 is almost over with and I was just wondering how many people actually make New Year's resolutions and follow them? I have made them before in the past, but didn't accomplish many of them. I came to the realization that I was trying to accomplish way to much and putting too much pressure on myself to get it done since it was in essence a "promise" I was making to myself.
I haven't made New Year's resolutions in years. Instead what I do is if there is something I want to do or think I want to do then I just try to take steps towards doing it. It is hard for me to actually make change and do things that are different, but I also know that it is a vital and much needed part of any person's life. Resolutions may be good for some, but they aren't something that you have to do. Instead of talking about what you are going to do or want to do just do it. Talk is cheap. And while I may not always follow my own advice, I still give it. When you say it and hear it then often times it will make a greater impact on your life. So this year, in 2012, get out there and do what you want to do. Don't hold yourself back or limit yourself with words on a page. Be brave and be bold. Follow your passions and follow your heart. And last, but certainly not least, listen to GOD!!
